We started EverydayMask.ca based on our initial experience in the air quality field. Our journey to launch this website started at a brewery! See, when the pandemic hit, we, like many other people out there, were having trouble finding some basic essentials like hand sanitizer. It was sold out everywhere by the time we started looking. 

Luckily, we heard through the grapevine that a local brewery had actually shifted their focus to manufacturing hand sanitizer and was offering it for sale. This was one of many business that were actively innovating, literally changing what they do to help in the pandemic. From brewers making hand sanitizer to restaurants offering meals to healthcare workers; it was all inspiring to us as business owners. We had already reached out to our previous clients to offer our help with grocery runs and errands. But we surely felt we could do more with our experience in the air quality industry. 

As the advice around masks was changing, it was becoming clear that masks will be part of the new normal. The side-effect of that was that people were going to be getting any masks they could get their hands on -including medical masks that are badly needed on the front-lines. We feel that offering alternatives would  not only provide people masks to keep everyone safe, but also safeguard the supply of medical-grade mask for front-line healthcare workers.

We therefore leveraged existing supply chains and our previous experience in the air quality industry to source these masks and offer them at an affordable price, in the hopes that this would provide more options for those who are not able to easily make their own.
