PM2.5 mask filter is a 5-layer filter system made out of meltblown nonwoven polypropylene, spunbound polyester fabric and activated carbon middle layer. These replaceable filters are inserted into the filter pocket of cloth masks to provide improved filtering performance.
Easy to use: insert in the inner pocket of your cloth mask.
The filter consists of five layers:
- Layers 1 and 5: Spun-bound polyester material that filters out larger particles
- Layer 3 (middle): activated carbon layer. Traps particulate matter via an adhesion process.
- Layers 2 and 4: high-efficiency melt-blown nonwoven polypropylene that can filter small substances.
PM2.5 Filters – Use Notes
- Filters can not be washed or reused.
- Note: Always remove the PM2.5 filter before washing your face mask.
How long does the PM2.5 filter last?
The PM2.5 filter longevity will depend on how much it is used and the intensity of particulate matter in the environment it is used.
- Recommended – 12 hours maximum of use
- Prolonged use (e.g. an 8 -12-hour day of wear) we recommend single use
- Light use – replacement after about five to seven light uses.
